Global Centre for Fintech Innovations Announces Applications Open for 2026 Fintech & AI NextGen Leaders Fellowship
Toronto, Ontario, Canada — [21 February 2026] – The Global Centre for Fintech Innovations – Canada is pleased to announce that applications are now open for the Fintech & AI: NextGen Leaders Fellowship 2026, a fully funded, two-month online program designed to cultivate the next generation of leaders and innovators at the intersection of financial technology (Fintech) and artificial intelligence (AI).
The Fellowship, running from June 1 to August 31, 2026, offers participants from around the world the opportunity to deepen their understanding of Fintech and AI systems, develop leadership and innovation capabilities, and work on real-world capstone projects under the guidance of global industry experts, all at no cost to accepted fellows.
“With AI becoming an increasingly important aspect of fintech operations,” said Dr. Kwami Ahiabenu, Director of the Global Centre for Fintech Innovations, “this Fellowship provides a unique opportunity for learning, networking, information and knowledge exchange that enables emerging leaders to stay abreast of the latest trends and upskill for meaningful impact in the global fintech ecosystem.”
Fellowship Highlights Include:
• A fully online, two-month immersive experience focused on Fintech, AI, and leadership development.
• Mentorship from seasoned global experts and access to a diverse international cohort of changemakers.
• Intensive core training in the foundations of Fintech and emerging AI technologies.
• A capstone project that tackles real-world challenges in Fintech and AI, with opportunities for pitch presentations and recognition.
• A certificate of fellowship and lifetime membership in the program’s alumni network upon successful completion.
The program structure is thoughtfully designed to support both knowledge acquisition and practical application: the first month focuses on foundational learning and leadership training, followed by a second month centered on project execution, mentorship engagement, and innovation demonstration.
