The NextGen Leaders Fellowship in AI and Fintech by Global Centre for Fintech Innovations (GCFI) is designed for outstanding individuals who demonstrate strong leadership potential, a commitment to impact, and a clear vision for how technology can solve real-world problems. Selection will be based on the following:
1. Vision and Purpose • Clear alignment with the Fellowship’s mission to drive innovation in Fintech and AI for global good • A compelling and thoughtful project idea that addresses an important societal or economic problem
2. Leadership Potential • Demonstrated ability to lead initiatives, teams, or movements—whether in academia, entrepreneurship, community work, or industry • Passion for making a measurable impact in the Fintech/AI space
3. Innovation and Creativity • Original thinking and creative use of technology • Capacity to develop or apply innovative solutions to existing or emerging challenges
4. Technical or Domain Knowledge • Familiarity with Fintech, Artificial Intelligence, or related technologies (formal background not required but preferred) • Willingness and aptitude to learn and engage deeply in technical and leadership content
5. Communication and Clarity • Ability to articulate ideas effectively in written form, especially in the personal statement and project proposal • Strong motivation, clarity of purpose, and well-defined goals
6. Diversity and Global Representation • The program values geographic, cultural, and experiential diversity • Open to applicants from all countries, disciplines, and professional stages
